When the engine is warm, what is the RPM when idle? 2000 RPM?
Or it starts at 900 RPM, then goes to 2000 RPM and then about 800-1000 RPM again?

When i start the car it work at 900rpm, then at about 1800-2000, and when it get worm it work at 900-1000rpm, again.

Thenks for reply

Then I don't know... In winter it is normal that the engine, when started, does very few RPM and so one should use the starter, but after that it shouldn't go to 1800-2000!
Also, since when warm it idles at 900-1000, I don't think it is a problem related to the carburettor idle settings, otherwise RPM should stay high.

1st of all, you sure its a carb engine as 94 tempra's are injected with a single mono bosch unit that looks like a carb. If it is a carb, you fast idle needs adjustment as the choke is staying on too long and so making the engine over rev at idle when cold/warm. If its a single point injection, then the coolant temp sensor is possibly faulty, or the stepper motor is faulty or possibly the idle control valve is sticking but unlikely.
Basically the trouble lies with a cold circuit fault [what it runs on when cold] and needs investigating.

Andy.

I am sure that is a two stages carb weber 32/34. Today i made some setting on the carb and now it is better. But now the problem is when i start the car( when it is cold it works at 500- 600 rpm), after (at 80c) it work at 1500rpm, and when the car gets normal temperature (90c) it works at 1000rpm. Now i know where is the problem, but i don't know how to say in english (i think its a starter). This part regulate the air in the carb and on this car it is automatic. I hope you will now what i am talkin about.
Sorry for my bad english, AGAIN

Sounds like the carb needs a proper setting up. To set the fast idle, the carb needs to come off to measure the gap of the butterfly flap. The choke needs to be set too. One way round this is to fit a manual choke conversion if the auto choke is faulty, or get it set up by a carb specialist.
