Punto (Mk2/2b) car wont start

hi i am new here, i bought a 3dr punto 1.2 w reg year 2ooo iv only had it since thursday and today it wont start at all and no warrenty on it it just not firing is it the battery tho the only sign that stays on is the air bag sign

First line of call would to check battery voltage, alternator output voltage etc

Do you have any other warning lights on the dash apart from the airbag light?

HELP PLEASE
I have a Grande Punto 1.4 07 plate.
Last week i had a new battery and alternator fitted as diagnosed by the local garage as my car wouldnt start, yesterday it has done the same thing and the garage cannot find the fault.
Please can someone help diagnose what it MAY BE??.. as mechanic has no idea!!!

I feel he is trying to take advantage of me being a woman!!

Is the starter motor turning? If so:

Check for spark at plugs (when cranked)
Check for fuel past the injectors (wet, petrol smelling spark plugs).

If neither, crank sensor
