Hi

I was wondering does anyone know what could be the problem here. I locked the graunde punto 08 plate other night with the key fob and I checked the doors these were locked then when I got up in the morning and found that the car was unlocked which I was angry to find my faceplate for head unit and ipod stolen with no force entry so I locked the car again with the fob at work and waited for a min and found it unlocked it self could someone please help me.

i am also locking for a alpine Ida - x305 face plate if anyone know were can get one and how much would be great full

thanks

Any small kids that can get hold of your keys, or do you carry them with you in your pocket?

there is no kids who can get hold of my keys and i carried the keys into the house. i just dont understand how it can unlock with me standing there with out pressing the button as i only got one fob

OK try locking it up on the remote & remove the battery from the fob, if it still unlocks the car could have a fault which the dealer will fix under Warranty. There is an outside chance there is a spurious signal near you that does it but unlikely. Have you tried locking it with the key in the lock (not using the fob button) and does it unlock when parked elsewhere?

Sure you havn't put the keys in you pocket - and then sat down/knocked them and pressed the button by accident?

I know the odd time i've opened the boot this way without realising.

Ditto here Andy but I think the OP has suggested not....

i been locking it by putting the key in the whole and not been unlocking this way. the other place it unlcocked was outside my work wich is the other side of town from were it unlcoked first time this was done by the fob way

I'd go for a dealer inspection if you can replicate the problem TBH.

My old Focus developed this fault. I would lock it, it would open again, lock it and it would open again sometimes it would take ages to get it locked, even using the key in the door lock did not work. It only ever happened when it was cold outside as well.

thanks again i wounder what retard it was like and if anyone know of any were i can get a front pannel for the alpine ida x 305 would be great help to

The lock barrel is probably sticking slightly in the 'unlock' position (due to dirt/freezing), causing the BC to think you're unlocking the doors manually. This explains how locking it manually works ok as you're moving the barrel out of this position- had this occur on a couple of Stilo's and recently a 159. ;)

You've got a removable faceplate, but didn't remove (or even hide) it? I thought that was the whole idea of having them?
