I ARRIVED HOME THE OTHER NIGHT AND NOTICED SOME FUC**R HAD KEYED MY CAR FROM THE PETROL CAP RIGHT TO THE END OF THE WHEEL ARCH!! GUTTED IV'E SPEND A FEW HOURS WITH CUTTING COMPOUND T-CUT E.T.C AND ITS NOT TO BAD BUT THERE IS A 8 INCH DEEP SCRATCH WHICH WONT COME OUT. WHY DO THESE PEOPLE CAUSE US MISERY TW£TS!!

ALSO MY CAR IS DUE A SERVICE AUGUST ITS ABOUT 18 MONTHS OLD 19K MILES I UNDERSTAND TO KEEP WARRENTY YOU HAVE TO GET IT SERVIED AT FIAT. SO I AM DEBATING WHAT TO DO. DONT THINK THE WARRENTY IS VERY GOOD AND CERTAINLY THE DEALERS ARENT. ALSO I WOULD SAVE SOME MONEY SERVICING IT AT ANOTHER PLACE ANYWAY. WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS I GET THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU TAKE IT TO FIAT FOR A SERVICE AND COMES BACK KNACKRED.

Warranty

My warranty (which expired last week) was good for nothing. That said, I would still get your car serviced at Fiat until it expires. If the cam-belt or anything else serious goes, your warranty will be invalidated unless your car has been serviced by Fiat mechanics and genuine Fiat parts were used.

I know what you mean with the scrathes, my boot needs doing, probably a re-spray. Hanging's too good for them!
 
Fiat Servicing

I have never had any problems with Fiat servicing although it is expensive on the HGT.

However, while it affects the resale value to a degree, it also sometimes makes it easier to sell if you have a full Fiat service history. It is usually one of the first set of questions when buyers enquire.

Servicing

It is an offence to require that a service is carried out by a specific dealer to validate a warrenty. Your warrenty is still valid as long as the service is carried out by a competent* mechanic in accordence with the manufacturer's sevice schedule using parts equal to the manufacturer's OEM specification.

*Be sure that he/she is properly qualified, usually any maechanic working for a reputable company. i.e. AA Serviceing
