So I was driving home and my 1966 fiat 500 595cc just stopped on the side of the road and I can't get it to start again. I checked to make sure it was getting fuel, Changed plug wires and plugs and reset the timing on my 123 ignition yet still no luck. I'm getting spark from the coil and the motor turns over fine just will not start. It seems like I'm not getting any spark but after schocking myself on all plugs and wires I am. Any ideas.

P.S. if you are in the Washington DC area and can help I could really use it.

Might seem obvious but with positive spark and no clear cause, sometimes it can be as simple as a grounding issue.

I had the oil dipstick rotate slightly to the point it was just touching the condenser, causing a failure to start.

Apparently similar thing happened to a brave soul driving his 500 from italy to england, stuck on the road for ages before he worked it out.

Hope you've gotten moving though :)

(PS I'm not sure if the 123 means you lose the condenser in which case the above may be invalid)
