Nip down to Halfords bud and see if they do a convertor thing, ach, canna mind the right name for them.

Autoleads is the brand and they convert the car DIN's to cd player ones

apparently halfords super computer said my car doesnt need an adaptor hopeless that place lol i think im gonna leave it just now cos im not clued up on car electrics

Continuing this thread i scrapped the kenwood and got an alpine headunit which halfords kindly fitted lol ive had it probably over a year now and in that time ive had to replace my battery months later my new battery is flat obviously im draining power from somewhere i took it to fiat and they have told me the stereo is to blame for this, now for my question the guy in halfords told me that he had to " hard-wire" the stereo as there was no permanent live altho i think he means ignition feed meaning i have 2 manually turn the stereo off when leaving car is this correct as nobody else ive spoken to has had this problem with their puntos to be honest i think this guys made a mess of it

my seicento is hard wired in. doesnt turn on or off with the ignition i can also turn it on with no key in.

not a problem for me never has been aslong as its turned off.

Have had this in a couple of cars. Can't remember which, definately not the Vec. Not a probelm, as long as you remember to turn off the stereo before leaving the car!

mine can go to off (not playing music screen on ect) or off off dead. either dont lower the battery. ive not driven it in 2 weeks now and it started fine thismorning :) cold here too

ive always remembered to turn the stereo off aswell as removing the facia doesnt matter so much now it hasnt done it since adding an ignition feed i can only assume that is the end of it till it happens again thanks anyway
