Hi,

i recently bought a Fiat Bravo, but the problem is the standard radio that is in the car.

I know there is a way to remove it and place your own radio in the car.

My question is how to remove the original radio without damaging the dashboard...

Best regards,

I assume you're dutch (so am I):

I went to my dealer, they ordered a piece of plastic that makes the space where the custom fiat radio is located suitable for a normal car stereo you buy in shops. Cost me about 40 guilders if I remember correctly. Got the fiat-radio out relatively easy, there are 2 clamps at the bottom you should begin with.

Go to a Fiat dealer because you have to use
a special key to unlock tha radio..

Removing the Radio...

It's actually very easy and you don't need to go to your dealer to get it done. Get two thin bladed knives and slot them down the crack at the front side of the unit, about a third of the way up. You should be able to ove the locking arms and gently prise the unit out.

I did it three times a couple of weeks ago when I had a problem with the speaker connector...

Fiat supply a mounting plate with a standard ISO slot for mounting a replacement radio.
