What about a section reviewing the cars? Would be good to hear some real owner reviews before parting with hard earned cash. I guess the problem is that most people already own a Fiat before coming here, but we are considering a Grande Punto in the near(ish) future and will definitely be reading the reviews of it and competitors (sorry, what a traitor...).

if i were you i would go for something else, i have owned a 1.2 active grande punto for three weeks, it is going back to the garage tomorrow, to sort out numerous problems, and i keep finding other problems day after day. i wish i spotted this forum before i bought mine, because most owners have had problems with the cars. i would have my money back if i could.

Think thats some owners, thats like saying mose people voted for labour in the last election when 65% ish didnt even turn out to vote.

Thats the problem with reviews people are too quick to slate a car, if 1 out of 10 peeps have a bad time it doesnt mean we'd only get 1 out of 10 reviews slating the car. As people who enjoy the car and have no problems generally dont speak up.

After all if i read and beleived all the reviews i'd never own a FIAT, but have had loads in the family and no majorly unexpected problems.

Richard.........take a test drive & decide for yourself, listenig to what others say can be helpful but biased either way.Get down to dealer & try for yourself after all you will be the one driving it for next few years not them.

If it's any help i've owned about 30 GP's since they came out last June, they get driven for 3000km's each and then sold again. They get driven quite hard. They have every Tom, Dick and Harry going in them and as yet i havent had any of them fault on me, Oh i tell a small lie, I blew a turbo pipe off one of the GP Sports once, and that was only because the clip hadnt been tightened properly.

Basically what i'm saying is, everyone has different experiences and you should make your own mind up on what YOU want. I personally wouldnt go for the smaller engined cars as they seem under powered but again, that is a personal opinion.
Go and try it for yourself. (y)
