Car Registration Problem

I own a Fiat Punto 1.2 Sporting 3dr (Y-Reg), however when I type the registration number into any online car checker, it comes up as a fiat punto 1.2 (saloon). Why is it saying its a standard punto saloon, when its clearly a Hatchback Sporting?

Why could this be?

Could just be the car checker has it down in its database wrong, try some insurance comparison website's and see what they think it is.

No such thing as a Punto saloon so maybe their system just doesn't know the term hatchback They also tend not to be too specific on model variations, what do the likes of Confused.com come back with for your reg?

Yeah ive tried this before and on one of them it came up as a van.. mine is same car as yours and its definitely not a van lol. so i left that one incase i had a crash and they realised it wasnt a van and wouldnt pay
