I got a fiat uno 1997 petrol model engine classification
999cc
45bhp@3600rpm
Recently car got a problem and it started getting hot and consuming more coolant so the head of engine was opened and gasket was replaced. The problem is to an extent still there. I want to know that should i had to add more water to coolant every 200 kms????
Next is that the studs on which compressor is fixed is also broken and i was told that it can be fixed by some welding process . There is one more question whether the car will be ok after that. How to improve its milege and power....Any sugesstions???Is the car as good a MPFI or Erlx technologies???
Please care to mark me an email at:[email protected] as i am new to this forum i dont know about reading the threads.

Thanks,
Sumit.

If u r keen to keep it, u can.

but, as u know, the car is already outdated, but I Love my uno, and is keeping it in mint condition as long as I can - Who knows - how long!
Well consider u have a 1997 model and it's now 9 years old, another 15 yrs means -a total of 25 yrs!

But for that, u have to invest quiet a bit of your fortune in it, as the parts are becoming rare, and as time moves forward, will become rare and rare, and costly. If u really need to keep it for long, ( It's a love-hate decision u have to make)

The car is still a good drive, gives decent milage, and we r luckey that our uno's are made of galvanised steel.

then, it's up to u that u be driving an old car for all these coing years !

At least, I am, though I have a spare Car too.. So I can get her out an a couple of days in a month, atleast.

It's a great car to DRIVE man, so dont give up.
