So then, out comes the Fiat CD Player & ingoes the one you bought Katie... good luck
Might see about getting an adaptor thing for my GP as curretn CD Player is doing my head in.

1) It scratches CD's :veryangry2:
2) It randomly turns itself off :veryangry2:
3) While yes it has DAB I don't listen the radio, so don't need DAB
4) It doesn't have Bluetooth

Thing is the CD player I had in the Panda & then in the Sei has bluetooth & doesn't turn itslef off randomly & doesn't scratch CD's.

So think I'll be heading out to EK on Saturday & get the Wharfdale CD Player fitted & the Blaupunkt out.

The kid in Halfords didn't give a toss about my car and succeeded to jam them in after a couple of attempts. So we are now able to remove the radio[/QUOTE]
customer care lol

Had the interview with the Dixons Travel manager just there, went really well I think - she's going to get back to me in the next few days :)

Oi, stop hijacking my thread Andi & Rob ;p

But hope all goes well Rob and you're sorted with a job soon

Back on topic. Stereo still isn't fitted and I'm losing the will to live over this. Nothing to do with the help I've been offered as everyone has been very good but the lack of wiring diagrams and my wish to keep the steering controls have made things complicated. Don't ask me for details because I'm clueless

I head south on Sunday and have resigned myself to alphabetical order mp3s on a memory stick for the long sections of the journey therefore the rest of this weekend will now be spent converting music files from wma to mp3 (and making the most of fs whilst it's online ;) )

Yeah, sometimes threads on here do go off on a tangent, sorry

Feel your pain on the whole stereo thing, it's always the steering control part that would worry me a tad on a car too though mine didn't have that option fitted. Just the track/radio info on the dash itself, which I think does need some wiring to achieve anyway (though could be wrong). Hope you manage to get it sorted, guess it's turning into one of those "how hard can it be?" kind of tasks :/

Andi...I took your advise and visited Alan at Audiowise the other night, I have just got a ipod thingy.. and was looking for advise on options on connectivity to the Spider. He quickly sorted out my needs and queries, and I'll be getting an install hopefully this week. Good shout.

Thread hi-jacked again...sorry Harper.
