Just put a new head unit in my bravo 1.4S, set up the time and the radio stations.. turned her off thinking job welldone, turned her back on and everythings gone back to how it was when i put it in. Any ideas? Matt.
On my radio i set it up so that i can use my radio with the ignition off.
To do this i swapped the yellow and red wires around at the back of the headunit. If you purchased a connector block or got one with the headunit, you will see the red and yellow wires have push fit connectors. Swap them around.
This will keep the memory in the radio.
Also see the bravo-guide for more radio help. Use the links above.
you need to swap over the live and switched live feeds on the iso connector as the FIAT Headunit uses them back to front.
If I remember correctly the wires you need to change are red and yellow but make sure you you've got the right ones by putting a multimeter into the end of the plug.
The red should show 12v all the time whereas the yellow should only show 12v when the cars ignition is on.
easiest way would be to cut the wires and reattach them the opposite way round as they are a bit of an arse to push out of the iso connector.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Dan
