Hi guys, new Bravo owner here. Love my 59 plate 1.6 diesel, with one slight hiccup; I can unlock the doors using the remote but when I try to use either key in the door, it just won't turn...gah. Any ideas please?

This is probably gonna be a noob question, but even the owners book is of no help.

Many thanks in advance.

Is it the original door? If the door has been damaged, then swapped for one from a breakers without swapping locks, then your ignition key wouldn't work the mechanical lock, but would work remote locking and ignition. Look for evidence of hinges having been unbolted!

a bit weird..is there a boot lock that still works off the key..??

normally even if the motors in the door locks have failed you can still turn the key - even if a bit stiff,

It is likely that the lock barrels are seized from lack of use. They need to be carefully eased, with lock lube or WD40, then try to turn them with a little pressure. Don't force anything. Hopefully with some patience and lots of WD40 they'll work again. Worst case, you may need to remove them from the door to free them off.

how low are the temperatures?
any chance they are frozen?

Have any of the barrels been replaced? the ignition or the doors?
