Cant open bonnet to jump start car?

Hi there could anyone help me with a problem i got with my 54 plate fiat punto the cars battery is completely dead when i tryed to start it thats when i noticed so when i tryed to open the bonnet to jump start or charge the battery the cable had completely come away from the front actual bonnet release so is there anyways of opening the bonnet without the realise cable from in the car or is there any other way to jump start or to charge the battery without opening the bonnet to get the car started to take to a garage? If anyone can shead any light on this it would be very much appreciated thanks... ashley

Hi Ashley,
IF it's petrol and manual..
see if the fuel pump still runs ( its under the back seat)

if so then it SHOULD start with a push / tow

do NOT tow it for a great distance if it doesn't "fire" straight away..
as it has the potential of sending unburnt fuel down the exhaust,
however if it does fire straight away - it's little different to the engine cranking on the starter
