Apple: Yeh, i was very upset to lose Carlin but Jamie contacvted me straight after the crash to see if i wanted this so i managed to stay sane. Its just so ace to be on the road again, it had been 2 months since i had driven!!!

Liam: Jamie is driving work van atm but is in the market for a coop if anyone knows of any good ones for sale. Don't think he minds if its a 16vt or a 20vt so long as its in good nick and well looked after.

Arc & Bushboy: Photo's are from the right angles, you just can't see the damage but I have got a new smooth back bumper on the way (thankyou Alex and Gaz). And am need of a new light cluster (got a lhd drive one on drivers side)

Oh yes my LHD rear light cluster that I lent jamie after the crash and never got returned

It is from my red Cinq which even though was a RHD model was purchased from Germany so the rear light clusters were opposite way round from UK models. I did plan on using one from each set & then ditching the reverse light and having twin rear fog lamps therefore having no white in rear clusters but all red so they match each other, never got round to it, still have the other LHD cluster here as well.

Nice car, especially like the wheels!

Just not sure on the colour, but understated which is good. Get it sprayed the same colour all over, the front wing is a completely different grey from the pics, as is the bonnet etc by the looks!

LOL, well you can have it back when i got a new one mate, its ney bother.
Its not running sweet atm though and thats more important. Pretty convinced its the fuel pump, its still running standard one and having looked through the receipts this morning its also the original so its probably a bit tired now. Gonna have a browse around to look for info today but may be asking questions at some point soon

Get a new fuel pump on it, ITP 050 from www.fuelsystem.co.uk the pump is a Walbro pump normally found on Escort RS2000, Sierra/Granda 2.8V6 so its uprated for the purpose needed and a direct swap fro the Cinq one.

You will then need to run a fuel pressure regulator to control it 3 bar to 2nd injector and adjust primary to 1.2-1.4bar and then get the car set up.

This is what Jamie was going to do if he kept it, well I say Jamie he asked if I would do it for him.

cheers alex, yeh need to sit down and read what/how all the bits work, like i know the MF2 has something to do with injectors but no idea what it does and how it works, i'll get there eventually.

MF2 controls the fuel to the extra fuel injector, when the car is on boost it needs more fuel, so the mf2 puts more in

if looking for cheaper option for pump try ebay out and get a MG MGF 1.8 16v MPI pump pick one up for about £25 they the same replacement code as the cosworth ones

the actual pump will be made by bosch / welbro. they make all the fuel pumps. generic parts really. don't get hung up using fiat parts

Don't worry i know all these things, its more cause its the cheapest i've found so far tbh. And if i say its got an uprated pump i can still say its a punto gt one

ahhh, this brings back memories!!!
ohh the joy i had, taking it up to van aaken to get the mf2 controller checked out, the fun fitting the rear discs, seats, front brakes and the punto gt intercooler lol.
Will be missed.
Unfortunatley i have turned to the enemy and now drive a clio 172.
nothing beats this cinq for fun tho!!
