Hi, my car needs a new right hand side, inner CV joint. We've replaced the outer joint but didn't fix the knocking (yes I am 100% sure it's from inner CV joint).
My car is a '57 plate T-Jet and therefore has a different CV joint to the N/A's.
My mechanic has been unable to source the part as everywhere that is advertising them cannot supply when you ring up and order. We resorted into removing the part and sending it off to be refurbished. After a week of them trying to get spare parts to refurbish/recondition it they've had to return the part as they're also been unable to source. Surely someone else must have replaced one recently and can shed some light on the situation?
Or by some miracle knows someone who actually has one in stock rather than 'price on asking' (aka we don't have it....)
We've even considered buying a punto Evo multiair CV joint but it's the wrong size.
