Can you taket he cat off ????

is it possible to take the cat of the exhaust system and run with just a straight pipe from the manifold down pipe.

yes that is what a decat pipe is, however it will prolly be unbearably loud, acheive minimal gains and will not pass an MOT

seems loud any how. just had an exhaust fitted but i think its blowing somewhere in front of the cat but the exhaust guy said it was ok.
could this be the join at the cat to downpipe
