Can you buy a de cat pipe?

Is there anywhere you can buy a de cat section of exhaust pipe rather than powerflow making afull system?

Theres some on ebay but only punto is catered for?

powerflow can make just a cat replacement pipe if you ask them, my local one quoted i think bout 80 - 90 quid. (plus powerflow guarentee for life, or as long as you still own the car)

Mornin all.

I happened to have mine on the rollers before and after, and the plot showed 10lb extra torque and 4 bhp top end.

You should bear in mind this was after my other mods that had given me 187bhp on the previous run.

My other emissions were spot on what they should be, but it WILL fail on the O2 so you'll have to swop your de-cat over come MOT time,
UNLESS you have a very 'understanding' test centre

as for the sound, I honestly couldn't tell any difference (althpough the difference the cams made was huge, so mebs youl notice some difference on yours)

Oh, and i did look into getting a stainless steel one when I had my front pipe made. Incidentally, they suggested a straight pipe without a resonance chamber like the CSC have, WOULD make it a lot louder (besides also making it abundantly clear you havn't got a cat fitted).

The CSC have a flatter profile so wouldn't have gone for round s/s dummy anyway, cos of clearance
