Can a mk1 punto gt engine fit directly into a mk2 punto?

i have a mark 2 punto at the minute but i seen a mark1 gt for cheap would i be able to swap over loom engine gear box and disc brakes handy enough???

Well i dont mean easily but would there be changing engine mounts involved??

changing mounts is the easy part, why bother they are not the best of engines to use

What engine would be best to do... i found out the over-heating problem i have is the water pump so i may aswel get the timing done while im down that far:bang:

the only reason the gt engine crossed me mind cos i was gettin a whole gt for cheap it had an exhaust system and recaros in it but the body was tacky with a drift spoiler on it so i was tinkin of swappin them over...it'd probably be too expensive to get a t-jet engine tho
