one of the guys on here sells camshaft kits including new rocker gasket on ebay. Just cant think who. But Ebay is a pretty good place to start.

I take it you'll be cleaning out the oil spray bar while its all out? Otherwise presumably you know it'll be gasping again soon...

Yeah, thanks for that Buzz, think it was probably the spray bar being clogged that caused problem. Cam belt has'nt been done yet either, 54k and nine years old, do you think would be sensible to do as well, starting to get a bit expensive tho' for the old boy.
Cheers, Bill

very worth doing it then!
A|dmittedly, your gonna be pating maybe £300 for all the work, and i know thats a lot, especially since its worth maybe £600, but if thats all you spend in a year, thats pretty cheap motoring tbh.
A tensioner failed on my 1.4 about 3 months after i had put it into a garage and asked for the belt and ancillaries, like rollers to be done. Turns out, all i got was a belt. Fortunatley, and somewhat unbelievably, while travelling at about 50mph i heard the tensioner fail and start flapping and pulled over before the belt had a chance to loosen or come off! very lucky indeed, although annoyed because i thought the work had been done properly the first time!
