Has anyone found a business in Australia that offers a camber kit for the X250?

I have an issue where the camber is at -2.4 deg which is causing heavy wear on the inside of my tires and also wanders all over the road following the slope of the road so generally hard left here in Australia.

I have been to a few steering specialists but they say there is no camber adjustment and can’t find anyone that offers a kit to fix the issue.
Factory specifications call for 0 deg so the tyre wear is actually very noticeable even after only 1000km.
I have tried searching myself but could only find a kit for the previous model Ducato.

Is anyone else having this same issue???

Hi Condi

The previous generation Ducatos had the hub carrier attached to the strut with two bolts spaced maybe 100 mm apart, which can be replaced with aftermarket eccentric camber correction types. After 2006 the X250 changed to a single substantial cast "eye" in the hub carrier (see pic) which means the opportunity for adjustment at this point is lost.

The other method used for camber adjustment is to move the upper strut mount. Unfortunately, this has much less effect for a given movement because of the geometry. I don't know the exact strut length but let's say 800 mm. To change camber by 0.5 degree you would have to shift the mount sideways by 7 mm. I suspect this would entail removing metal from one side of the mounting hole, slotting the 3 bolt holes and devising something to prevent creeping once bolted up. Depending on the design of the mount tower in the inner wing, you would have to be careful of sideways clearance to the spring.

The camber spec is plus or minus 0.5 degree, and I am sure that Fiat would argue that their production processes are so accurate that they can build within this tolerance without provision for adjustment. Your camber figures do seem a very long way off (is that per wheel or total ?), so I don't know what's going on there. I presume you have checked/replaced the rubber bushes in the track control arm (lower wishbone) as if these are tired it won't be helping.

In my experience tyre wear on the edges is affected more by errors in toe-in/out rather than camber, so this needs to be checked as well

Sorry I can't be of more help.
