Just booked my car (Bravo - 1.8 - 115 - 1999/2000 (V)) for its 36K service and i enquired as to when the cambelt service was due (assuming that it would be on the 76K service) so he looked in his little book and it said upto 1999 it should be done at 72K and 2000 onwards it should be done at 36K?!?! so im now unsure when i should have it changed!?!?

Secondly, the buttons on both of my blue keys have packed up and fiat assure me that its not the batteries but the actually key and they say that the key alone is £50+
so i checked the batteries myself and it does appear that the keys are buggered! - so do the keys really cost £50 and if so does anyone else do them at a slightly more reasonable price! - after parts and their labour time they are gonna want £125 for 2 keys!!

Many Thanks
James

Usually i'd always say that if you're not sure, have the cambelt changed. (better safe than sorry) However, 36K would seem a little early. If you don't drive the car too hard i'd leave it another 10k or so.

As for the keys, isn't the immobiliser incorporated into the keys? If so i'd imagine the only option would be to pay fiat's prices....
