My tipo 66plate 1.3D wagon has been great. But as it gets older (now 113k miles) the problems are starting. : I now have problems with rear brake calipers. The cost of a Fiat original pair from Mick Holdsworth is around £600 and these will have to come from Italy. Thats a lot of money for me so I looked at repair kits which would be around £60. But there is a compatability query. The 1.3dwagon covered by AutofrenSeinsa D43192C caliper repair kit refers only to variant WXH1A wheras my log book says my car is variant WXD1A (version W2A), Autofren's list of compatible types refers to SXDIA in the sedan form. So my question to you clever people is :
is there a difference in brake setups in variants XH1A and XD1A.
(I checked under the car both sides in search of a part number on either caliper but nothing is visible and I realiseThe only definitive way is to open the calipers up and see whether the repair kit fits)
But I am hoping that your advice might reduce the risk of a costly mismatch.
Thanks John

I think you may need your VIN or at least engine number to be certain of the right part. There are a number of caliper suppliers on ebay

There are all sorts of different rear calipers fitted to the estate. $ I have discovered. In the end I got a repair kit in desperation. Working OK Now
