C D Changer

Can anyone help? I have a Fiat Brava 2001 and would like to fit a C D changer. According to the manual my radio/ cassette player will control one but how/where to they connect to the exising system ?

the cd player grundig mcd-46 [6 disc] that fits the standard fiat head unit.
the cd player sits in the boot.
the cable runs down left side-under the carpet or under the trim by the door up to the dash into the cd /radio.
some fiat have the cable pre installed.
