General bye bye 2.0 20v Marea - UPDATE -

Firstly thanks for the replies i received , it could'v been much worse , im gutted too-to put it mildly.
After a long conversation with my insurance (axa) we have agreed on the sum of £650!!!! , mainly because the car was in original condition, uprated lamps/lights,history - after checking myself on autotrader/the bay of e the average price for my baby was £700.
Considering i paid 700 for her 4yrs ago i was more then happy with the offer , minus my excess im left with £150....not so good - BUT....due to my broker (Kwikfit) im able to claim back my excess , im now looking at a stilo diesel estate multiwagon.
Take care marea drivers, their beautiful cars with a heart .

Im glad you managed to get a resonable value for the car rather than the original £27! Shame the Mareas gone I know how annoyed you must have been at the damage caused to it.

Buy another Marea, go for a 1.9 or 2.4jtd. I got the wife one over a year ago now, great car.

theres loads of bad reports on the stilo section i'd stick with a jtd w/ender ..

Yeah come on back to the fold, i know they are getting rare but you will be able to find one, i too like teh stilo multi wagon and if i was n your situation i would also be lookinf for a jtd, good luck with your search and please you got a half decent resolve.
