General Buying a Punto
the first major thing i would look out for is that you can engage all gears without crunching..
no warning lights on dash..
the 8v rocker cover gasket likes to go alot leaking oil out.
knocking at rear..
check that the power steering works with city button on and off.
second look out for the dreaded condensation in the lights i have it and its a pain too look at but you can update the back of them so they have a breather.
also front wipers have a judering issue in intermitent caused by wrong grease so if they juddering it may not just be new blades required.
then theres the rust wich can sometimes form on the roof under the rubbers where you fit the roofrack.. and under the rubbers from the front window.
check all along the rubbers if there is any rust
and under bonnet where the slot is for the bonnet catch.
then for the rest it is a great car and good to drive good power and comfort and good mpg..
