My Punto 60S MK1 1243cc gives off a distinct hot rubber smell after a run. No wild driving and the tyres are usually quite cool as are the hubs. Can't see anything smoking under the bonnet and can only assume that the exhaust is too near to something underneath. I have checked the cambelt and alternator belt which seem OK. Could it be something to do with the heater although this works fine and normal. Any ideas would be appreciated?

somehting jammed in the brake disc maybe.

driveshaft CV joint rubbers are self destructing
something trapped in the radiator (maybe an actual piece of rubber from a truck tyre etc).
err

rear arms might have gone, and the smell is either the bushs self destructing or the wheels catching on inner arch liners.
