Bumper Help!?

Outside my work there is a road that goes from one lane into two to tyrn left, i parked my car today in the last bay before double yellows, im in work, colleague comes in to office and says, "craig i think youve got a ticket"
i go downstairs to see a white note under my windscreen wiper..

Ive scuffed your bumper, should t-cut out but if you have any problems call *********.

Last saturday i bought 1Litre of Black cinq paint and 1Litre of Rosso Red, gets brain ticking.... phone dad, "what you think i should do?"..

Your Opinions Please!
1)Attach abarth apron from yellow bumper (in back garden) and take to bodyshop and get guy to pay for respray...
2)just get that bumper resprayed in black and put on 899 before sale
3)paint red and stick on ebay

All happy thinking some 4x4 owner made me pay £368 for a small scuff on their bumper, (i dont know how it came to that!) so thinking this 4x4 owner can pay and i can fleece them of some money lol.

Phone him, he says if its not gonna cost too much i'll let my mate spray it for £30!... "huh, £30 for respray!" i said ill get a quote from a man from my dads local who works in a car sprayers...

do you think i should make it go through insurance and get a good job or let his mate do it, and make him spray abarth front aswell...
or be cheeky and get dads mate to make a quote for front and say if he can spray abarth front, rear, and spoiler and see how much that will be extra...(obviously ill pay the extra). and say either u go with my dads friend or we go through insurance as i want to be gauranteed a good job!

btw it has gone through to bare plastic on the top corner so t-cut wont work..

well he left a note so i give him a bit of respect but he should have been more careful before going into the side of my bumper and when i phoned him he was an a******e to me, he said hes not paying more than £50

this is what pees me off

i got boxed into a space outside my work, i literally skimmed the corner of a Rav4, leaving a tiny bit of paint, i left a note, a tiny scuff on the p/s of my bumper, same to theirs but obviously d/s, as im young i dont want to go through insurance, lose my mums ncb, so they say they want a whole new bumper, i cant disagree as i was at fault, they charge me £368.

so i feel that this guy shouldnt get away with doing a bad job ot my car with a £30 spray job, just because im an 18 year old and dont have a brand new car, if it was a new BMW i bet he would want to go through insurance...

sorry to sound arsy but it does my head in sometimes when people expect me to give in because im young.

I dont think it has anything to do with your age, since he wouldnt know how old you are anyway Its difficult to tell someones age on the phone.

I'm not saying you shouldnt have it repaired properly, you should afterall its totally his fault. BUT trying to get a whole new bumper sprayed for a scratch is a little excessive. Post a pic of the damage.

at work but ill take pics tomorrow, but if they spray a tiny bit of the bumper wont it bubble up?? ok fair point about him not knowing my age, but still, i feel it is fair to get a sprayer i know will do a good job, fair enough? or not?

well because he left a note i would be very nice to him, most people dont (remember he could of just drove off and thats it), i would first try and t-cut it out and if it dont work, i would call chips away etc and get a quote and tell him the quote, i wouldnt rip him off cos he has been nice enough to leave his details, even though im sure you want to get your own back cos of you having to pay all that money for another thing, it wasnt his fault so dont take it out on him.

well he said it shouldnt cost that much, so i replied, no more than £100 for a respray just to be safe!, and he said well im not paying more than £50... dont know what to do, its not very bad, but i feel i should get the bumper to the way it was...
