bump sounds while in 'r'

on a 1.6l barvo - stick

when i am in 'r' and press the brakes i have a
strong 'bump' sound from somewhere in the front...

any idea's anybody from where in it from???

Are you sure the sound is coming from the front?
When in 'r' it is customary to look over your shoulder to ensure you do not come into contact with anything to the rear of your vehicle. LOL

it is possibly the brake pads moving in the caliper as the direction of 'force' is different when going forwards.
