As some of you guy's will know my exhaust backbox rotted and fell off a couple of months ago.
I've been meaning to put the stainless box i got on for weeks now and have never gotten round to it.
Well today i had no choice i need to get the M.O.T. done within the next couple of days but i couldn't get it to sit right it seems that the pipe on the backbox sits on the right hand side (as you look at the pipe)
I could use a steel flexy pipe to join it but i was in a rush today so i took it to a silencer manufacturer i know in Rochdale and he wouldn't touch it as he said he didn't want to do it cos it has a gas tank in the boot (didn't mind welding next to a petrol tank but the gas scared him...dick).
Anyway he said he could clamp it on with no problem but it would be a waste of time as my centre box was begining to go on the pipe in front of it.(feck)
So i had to bite the bullet and replace the lot from the cat back with a standard exhaust (didn't hurt as much as i thought it would £82.70 including vat)
When i can afford it i'll get a stainless system put on but until then i have a stainless steel backbox for sale if anyone wants it you can have it for what i paid for it (£50).
Anyone got a de-cat pipe for a 1.6 they want to get rid of?
