They will apparently fix it this week. Then they are going to bring the car to me! (I aint paying for it so wtf)

However, my experience of these places is that they won't actually look at the car, and they will bring it back to me knackered. Then my own garage will fix it. Let's see now..

TBH, I would prefer the latter because my own garage will be cheaper and I have the image of some boy racer ploughing my gearbox through the engine half way up the M1

What great weather, darn shame my oil cooler split needing some high speed skills to sort it out, thanks to Alexis from FCCUK and one of their members for a few tools, huge thanks to rob for the adjustable spanner which without I couldn't have finished the job. I used about 1/2 ltr of oil Rob- did you get the rest back? I can send you a litre to replace the bit I used. Rush job soon as I got the bumper on started it up got the thumbs up from Alexis went through the crowd to be 1 car behind Rob for the hill climb.

Hey the hill climb is odd with the race box, 1st gear being geared for 69mph it was lame off the line, even dropping the clutch at 5k RPM it went of like a panda! But come the steep bit where other slowed into 2nd the sedici was really getting goingmy bro said it felt as quick as his Z4M, but I think he should take it up that hill first!! Really wanted to hit the limiter but never made it had to dive on the brakes at the end.

Sorry didnt get to speak more Arno just a bit busy getting it saorted, then didn't see you for the rest of the day. Cool to see so many tipos, most I've seen since 2000 when we had 14. John and Oz's sedici's we great, Oz had big plans for his much along the lines of mine except as std looking as possible.

I just realised - SPB wasn't at the show - who has got that car now? I haven't heard about it for a while...

A Guy called dave from wales has got it . . . .I've not long sold him a bottom end for it,He's just finished the rebuild.

He's asked me when the next meet is as i think he wants to come (y)

Next meet will be Standford Hall, bit further north and thankfully no chance of me getting lost in central London. Never been so close to a nervous breakdown as I was on the 2nd loop around.. um I think it was Camden/Kentish Town

I could hear the race box was far to tall for a 1st/2nd hill, although as you aproached the sumit that engine was really starting to get on song. Shame I seem to have avoided the video by only doing the morning runs. I ditched the afternoon runs because of the drive down from the hill... big rocks and lumps of concrete making for some nice bumps and crashes from the suspension - the bottom of the banking isn't going to be there much longer to preserve if they continue to ignore that it needs repairing to preserve it.

p.s. No need to repay me for the oil, just one of them things.

Re: brooklands IT'S BACK!

Just worked out my MPG. 32 mpg for the whole 650 mile trip including 2 foot to the floor trips up the test hill. I'm pretty happy with that.
just worked mine out at 36.74 mpg for trip so dont think mine is bad at all, might even be better than that as i worked it out at 94p a litre but think i paid more than that a litre when i filled up before setting off down there.:)
