Dont put your bravo into 2 nd gear at 70 mph by accident or you will break your cambelt which inturn causes around £1000 worth of damage as i found out last night much to my annoyance!!! i didnt actually mean to i was heading for 4 th gear and MISSED!
THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL BOY RACERS!
Ollie!
BY THE WAY THE REASON I WAS RAGGING IT COS I WAS RACING A MK3 GOLF GTI AT LEAST I WON ( THE ****! )

Re: Re: Broken Bravo

my mate put it in 2nd at 90 in his bravo. the engine was pretty f**ked

Yeah well actually i have to spend £2000 on a new bloody engine, once again much to my annoyance!!!! Anyway i found the Golf GTI was a 1.8!!!!!! this makes me feel a little naughty, althought the incentive of beating him was there!!!

Can you get a 2 litre 20 valve into what was a 1.6 16v

No you cant, the engine bay isn't wide enough. You need the HGT with wider arches or a Marea.

Joske

instead of spending £2000 on a new engine you can buy my car for £2800 - a mint HGT ( 165bhp+ ) - kills all golfs apart from V6 and R32

Re: Re: Broken Bravo

at 165bhp, you should be able to beat the V6 Golf, i beat one a few weeks ago in my 155...probably why my engine is now fcuked though :(

Re: Re: Re: Broken Bravo

I think £2000 is a bit to much from a independent fiat specialist! i think fiat main dealer would be cheaper any ideas! PLEASE HELP!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Broken Bravo

as it is a 80.* IP range its most likely to be a static/semi perm IP address, so if you cross reference that IP with other threads you may find the user logged in and therefore have their login details

but id have to agree, the GTI driver isnt the only **** for racing

Re: Re: Broken Bravo

Joske, the engine bay width is IDENTICAL on the HGT! Its been measured! Its the same bonnet after all!

The difference is the HGT has longer lower suspension arms and longer driveshafts hence the wider wings.

Its got bugger all to do with the engine bay width as all the bravos are the same. Thats why the 5cyl is such a tight squeeze in the HGT.

Either way, the engine will fit BUT the driveshafts etc.. won't.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Broken Bravo

so where the hell am i spose to get my engine done then? in the surrey middlesex london area!

It's like pub rules.

They're not written rules, but you just know that you should abide by them.
