Well i took the car through the car wash the day after screwing on my aerial (little stubby one), and as it is a solid piece, its came away with the litle bolt that connects to the antenna. Theres no way of getting it back in, iv tried getting the snips and cutting 4 line to try force it in with no luck....so now i ask for some advice. How easy is it to remove the antenna base from the car? am i required to remove the lining from the roof inside or is there a simpler way on the external roof? Im thinking halifords or ray smith here i come, but just wondering if there is a cheap simple way of doing it myself. Any help appreciated.

Cheers

depends on what car it is, i did the one on my Marea not so long ago after some kind person snapped it off for me, cost £10 for a new base on ebay and about 30 minutes fitted as i had to remove the sunroof motor.
