I wasnt drunk though, if i felt in the least bit tipsy i wouldnt have got in the car.
Yeah it was wrong but if i had of hurt anybody then it wouldnt have been because of impaired judgement. Not that the Police would see it that way. I used to drive on a whole manner of concoctions when i was younger so driving on a few pints doesnt phase me like it should and its very easy to slip up every now and then.
Plus my driving couldnt have been impaired because i wasnt over the limit, Hence why i passed the breath test. ;)
Alcohol usually doesnt start geting into my blood until about 4 pints and then it go's in very fast. 4 pints i can function normally 6 pints and i can be on the floor.

I meant according to the Guidlines and advice that the police tell everybody that i shouldnt have passed.
I was trying to raise the issue that one person can have nect to nothing and fail and others can have a fair amount and pass.
The test must be very inaccurate and how do we know that everybody gets a fair test. Can you tell how impaired somebody is by a breath sample or blood test.
Also field sobriety tests will be just as inaccurate, even if i am sober with dyslexia/anxiety if you try and push my senses or remove certain visual bench marks etc then i will become disorientated.

put it this way of how i am with alcohol.......

went to ads and jennas on tuesday night, drank a bottle and a half of rose at 13.5% (im a lightweight ).... went to bed near enough collapsing at 12ish.... woke up at 8am... still felt a little bit drunk... sent work a text saying i wouldnt be in till the afternoon.... drank a bit of water and got a bit more on of kip till 12ish.... woke up.. feeling better.... had a shower and set of at 12.30ish :)

i would rather book half a day of work and admit what id done to them, then risk driving 30 odd miles and perhaps getting stopped and loosing my licence etc which would then put everything on the line :)

At least it sounds like your company is understanding Josh. If only mine were.

I'm bad enough with customers over the tanny system as it is, imagine if I was half cut and doing it (can the prick with the convirtable BMW.....Yes, you sir in the suit, with the sales man in the passenger seat with you on the Test Drive......Yes, can you remove your sun glasses before fuelling!)

My license puts food on the table & a roof over our heads so, for me, the drink/drive limit is 0.
I won't go out on the lash midweek.
Only time I might have a few is Saturday (when I have Sunday to recover) and it's shank's pony or taxi home.

TBH, you can have a really great time without consuming alcohol, you are still thinking clearly so conversation isn't a problem, it's easier to avoid the p1$$pots who are intent on picking a fight & by the end of a great evening, the old John Thomas will still perform (if required) - so making a perfect end to a perfect evening.

well, i done a bit of experimenting with it.

on saturday, i had a drink in weatherspoons at 11am (we started early lol) only had a pint as that's all i'm prepared to have if i'm driving. had a walk about for 30 mins then tested myself and my cousin who had the same drink (1 pint) both on empty stomachs too. we were at 007 and 008, i forget who was which, anyway, after another 30 mins, i was expecting it to go up to around 20 thinking the alcohol just hadn't entered my system, we were at 003 and 004.

now i'm not sure exactly how it works, if another pint is equal too another 8 on the scale or if it would go drastically up, as i always thought 2 pints was seriously pushing it.

i tested my girlfriend too. on friday she was at a whopping 81 but didn't seem really drunk, at 9am she was at 42.

i had a good drink till about midnight or just after on saturday and i was at zero this morning

:yeahthat: my license is saving me a fortune in accomodation costs and with the rediculous morning traffic conditions on the A50 I need to be fully aware and sober incase I get caught up in someone elses mess or happen to cause one.

TBH i don't know why people drink drive, apart from the obvious, to me they're 2 different things, i wouldn't have thought you could have a good time drinking when in the back if your heard, there must be worry about being pulled, no matter how much you're not bothered being caught. and obviously if you're driving you can't drive properly. if i go out and can't get home by public transport i just call in a favor from a mae and get a lift
