Hiya All

Does anyone know of any nice hotels etc, to take hte other half for his birthday? Give me some ideas? Either side is fine as im not sure whos house we are going from yet, His birthday is in 2 weeks so im quickly running out of time

Guess it depends how far you want to go and what you want to do. The Ramnee or Carisbrooke in Forres are highly rated, lots to see in the area and (even at this time of year) you're not far from Findhorn and Roseisle and calm stroll along amazing beaches :)
Either that or Aviemore is defniitely worth a visit, too :)
 
maybe a little futher up but im not sure, scottish weather, early december and a fiat bound to equal issues

hey, i'll have you know i sometimes go up in a northerly direction, in the scottish weather in early december, and my Fiat is.........is.............

oh bugger it, even i can't make that one stick :laugh:

Depends on what you want to do.
The West Coast is nice & scenic (Ayrshire)

Have a look at that & see what you think, Ayrshire's only 1hr (max) from Glasgow
Places to visit:
Isle of Arran, Isle of Cumbrae, Culzean Castle
Take a drive along the A719 from Ayr to Turnberry (very scenic), stop at the Electric Brae, very unusual sensation.
Put the car into nuetral & don't use the brakes, you will feel as if your going back up the hill, hard to explain but it's worth doing.
