bravo will not tick over

I have a bravo 1.2 year 1999 and the proplem is it looses revs so much it dies when car is being driven it is fine problem only when ticking over i have taken it to two garages with no results can some one please help

when was the last service? new plugs and leads?

Get a diagnostic done.
One potential culprit could be
air mass meter (mine did this too me lately)
