Yes buy a 1.2 or a 1.6

if you mean tuned to provide more power then no, not really. an induction kit and full exhaust with de-cat pipe may make it feel a bit better, but that would be wasted money as a 1.2 or 1.6 can be picked up so cheaply. you'd probably be able to sell the 1.4 and buy a 1.6 for the same price. that'll beat any 1.4 no matter what you did to it. and use less petrol, and be more reliable, and insurance isnt much difference at all.
