General Bravo Sport - Cost to change

Hi all!
I currently own a GP Sporting T-Jet. Its done 24k and has been excellent for me, i love it to pieces and has so far been faultless!

However, With a baby on the way my sensible side is coming out and i have just spotted an 07 Bravo 150 Sport, 20k miles. for £8k

So i have come across to your board to ask any owners of this model what they think of it? And if i was to go for it what i could expect to get for my GP.
Ideally i'd be looking at £500-£750 to change up.

You'll be looking at a hell of a lot more than £750 to change.
Even if you haggle some money off the bigger car it'll be over £2k you need to find.

Just rang the garage where the Bravo is and they have had 3 people phone about it already! So i doubt i could sell it in time. shame

Quick look on autotrader and the GP T-Jet's are still quite rare. i'd never trade it in for £5290 though thats quite depressing really!

The reason there are so few is because no one wants to sell them at the current value. Fiat's always lose a lot of money in the first 2/3 years so although you're car may be 'rare' it's only because it would be a waste of money to sell it now.4

Sorry to say that, but as other already point out, you be shock when you hear what they will offer to your car. For a 8k car, I be very supraise they want anything less than 2.5-3k + your car.

You'd probably advertise it at a bit under £7k and expect to get £6400 or so for it.

There's no great difficulty in getting Bravos so you shouldn't find it too hard to get one if you do sell privately.

What was paid, list price was £16,080 (according to the Fiat website).

Yup, hence why worrying about the MPG and the fact a derv does an extra 5MPG means sod all unless you plan on keeping the car a while or doing moon mileage.

People forget to fact in depreciation.

Sounds like you know what to do. Advertise the GP privately and once that's sold go out an buy a Bravo. There are plenty around so finding a good one won't be difficult.

Not really, depreciation doesn't touch you until you buy a new car. Fuel bills are here and now.

Against list price, my Bravo cost the first owner about £400 / mile in depreciation. ( 7 months old, 14 Yes FOURTEEN miles on the clock ). Even if my car is worthless now, depreciation would ( for me ) be only about £1 / mile. Yes it will depreciate, but its not so painfull.

Neil, was it just a pre-registered one? Pound a mile? Yours can't be going far.

Even if mine is considered worthless now it's well under 50p a mile.
