Bravo JTD - lost car keys - help re: ECU

Hi there

Can anyone help please!! We werent given the red master key with our 2000 Bravo 1.9 105 JTD SX and we have now lost the only blue key! Arggghh

We have been told various options but when we follow them up we are told the only option we have is to replace the full ECU Units at a cost of at least £800.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Im in Yorkshire but would be prepared to travel if there is anything that can be done!

It might take a week or so but that is likely to be significantly shorter than having to wait for FIAT to deliver the new parts.

ECU Reset

Thanks for your help!

Ive tried the guy in Sheffield and he cant help because its a JTD and he has probs with those due to management of the fuel injection system.

I will try the guy from Norfolk and see if he can help .. we have been offered replacement scrap parts for £200 but they dont have the red key so if he cant help us with the ECU we have we could still replace and save cash!

If the guy in Sheffield can get past the immobiliser we can load a JTD engine map.

I dont know if that will work, but its a last resort!

ECU Reset - thanks for help!

I just wanted to thank those of you who offered help regarding our misplacing of the Bravo key!

Ive finally managed to get the car to a garage and our insurance company have paid out!

We lost out key outside our house and therefore there was a security issue, taking this into account the insurance company have decided to pay for us to have all the ECU components replaced and all we have to pay is the excess!

Soooo if anyone else is in our situation then it might be worth speaking to your insurance company!
