Bravo indicator/lights problem

Got a problem with a 1998 1.4sx Bravo's indicators, goes a bit lke this:-

Lights off - Indicators work fine
Lights On - Only right indicator functions

Also the high beam stays on when the stalk is puled back (as when flashing lights) and the they stay on when the ignition is turned off. They only go out when ignition is turned on/off.
I have noticed recently that the headlights have been total crap i.e. you can't see anything, don't know if thats related though.

Have your headlights just started getting worse or have they always been bad? Are you sure they are working, by which I mean, have you had somebody stand in front to check them?

indicators

i have a 1.6sx bravo which had the exact same problem.being a auto electrician i wasnt scared to investigate further , the fault was the indicator relay( blue) on the stalk not fully pushed home
