Bravo HGT155, engine tuning options.

I know the 155 lump isn't popular (but i love mine) i wanna squeeze some more power out of mine, ive already been quoted for a re-map and with my exhaust and airfilter should get nearly 180bhp.

Other options are camshafts, but i can't find any for them? Anyone know of any?

nearly 180? how is that mate? a lad who had an orange 155 had a remap,zorst,air filter and a sports cat (costed him £350 alone) was rolling roaded 175 (i think it was).

There you go mike. i said around 180. This is the calculation from the tuning company so could vary. But was cheap at £250.

hey bud there is a few options available


Re-profiled cams, i had mine done at piper for £350 delivered a few years back.

Iridiun plugs The 147 drive alot better with these over the super4's

Remap I know angel tuning and Fc performance are the guys to talk to.

Decat both HGT's respond well to this.

Tbh im not that up on the 155 but i know the 147 is very tunable so i guess the 155 might get some good gains from same mods.

Be sure to get an airfilter that can cope with more than 150bhp as when you order a hgt filter they always send a filter good for around 150bhp so it becomes restrictive after tuning.This is dyno proven to.

will , how much you wanting to spend, avanti motorsport do some group n rally cams (not fast road C&B cams) try them but if wour willing to 'hold ya horses' a while , ill sell you some. then get your car remapped with exhaust at the same time.

Will... i've got some OEM 155HGT cams floating about...! LOL..! Piper will reprofile them both for about £200 when i spoke to them last....! That way you can still run the car til you ready to change them over & get the remap...!
