I don't know. It's Jan.2001 model, new buying.
I don't like the gearbox (not positive feel) and I notice some things mainly the hot days in Greece and in "solid" traffic. No good acceleration on start to go from traffic lights and speeding-up when change 1st - 2nd - 3d - 4th gear. I have the feeling that after some time in traffic the motor performance is very low and very lazy to come up from 2000rpm to 4000rpm. There is a delay too and something like a “gap” after I release the clutch and ask for fuel to speeding-up.
The maximum speed with no wind and 5th gear is 185km (only) after a long time…
The fuel for 100km mixed drive is 7.9liters.
My English are not perfect but I thing you understand why I'm not happy with my GT...?(BRAVO GT is written on the car by Fiat).
Fiat distributor's service engineer checked the car with an electronic device and said that there is no fault. He also checks me on driving and changing the gears on road. He said "good-hot driver!”. Very sorry but, I don't believe him. I'm not good driver or something is wrong with the car.
I'm ready to give more information and my thanks in advance if someone want to advice me.

I have the Bravo 1.6 SX.....but i do a little conversion ABARTH

I'm Spanish, from Catalonia, Barcelona,(sorry for my English) and i have the Bravo 1.6 SX, and the first time, i'm pass oldsame of you, my car was go at top speed 185Km/h.... but i did the littles modifications, i put the Kit of Green air filter, and the exit exaust of the engine "Supersprint", the back and rear socks of Alfa 145 Quadrifolio(2.0 16v), springs "Eibach", weels of 15"(195/50-15homologate in my country), and i'm make the system exaust, i tahe off the exaust system of serie, incluing the catalist, and i put the first, the first silencer of Opel corsa 1.1 of 1996, and next, the first silencer of most old seat ibiza, and next the big exit for under the pilot door...
The first change was do, is the little regulation to the injection (this is a little help of the RUS, one man of this forum) and i put my car at 215Km/h, and i do the 0 at 100 in 8 seconds!!! i'm happy

The problem of the gearbox it's impossible a do the change, but abauth this changes, the diferents of the gear in gear is less...

GT = HLX

I have a GT badged UK spec car, but I think someone had taken the HLX one off and replaced it. The GT (Europe) is identical to the HLX (UK). I think FiatUK were trying to bring the insurance down, by changing the badge.

Some GTs would have come into this country if they came from a supermarket originally, or the car has been imported. I've known one GT to come from a dealer in UK.

Paul, My logbook says HLX (Thankfully - my insurers threw a fit when I said it was a GT) so that's why I think the Essex girl who had it first chenged it.

I think it's Fiat's trap.

Can you explain the "regulation to the injection"?
Maybe I'll try it on my own GT 1.6, because I'm very unhappy with it.
