And that's the reason why you should put inferior oil :)

Anyway, you should look for 5W40 ACEA C3.

But you could always change the fiat service :)

I have changed 3 fiat services . . . in 5 years.

Depends what you want from it? Or just stick to the spec which the manufacturer says is suitable! If you don't want to pay selenia prices get one that meat fiats spec like shell helix. If you go thinner it will burn it more quickly but sound silky soft. If you buy thicker it will last but take longer to flow as it needs to warm up to move around. If you care go fully synthetic but why change the spec that the manufacturer suggests?

Mines the tjet sport too haven't had it long enough to even check the oil regularly. Wonder what mine consumes although it has only done 12000. I have found they all do a bit, especially the 20 vavlers. I believe it's down to the piston rings letting a bit past them and thinner oil (lower viscosity) passes though easier. I guess I should think about what I'm going to use. Selenia is so expensive!

I don't see any helix with ACEA C3, and we are talking about 3 liters of oil :)

It's not fully synthetic anyway I used it on my stilos but it did meet some spec of fiats. I was just meaning that I'm sure selenia is not the only oil to meet the spec for the 1.4 tjet engine that fiat specifies

It's not the only one

for example

Motul 8100 X-clean 5W40 (Fiat 9.55535-S2)
LIQUI MOLY Top Tec 4100 5 W-40 (Fiat 9.55535-S2)
CASTROL MAGNATEC 5W-40 (Meets Fiat 9.55535-S2)
Castrol EDGE 5W-40 (Meets Fiat 9.55535-S2)
VATOIL SynGold 5W-40 (-)
ACDelco Supreme Plus PI 5W40 (-)
WOLF MASTERLUBE SYNFLOW C3 5W40 (-)
