Bravo alarm

In the four years I've had hlx's i've always been very happy with them! My latest bravo has just gone out of warranty and the sun roof has developed an annoying rattle plus the alarm has started emitting the diagnostic tone after arming the system, my priority is the alarm, can any one suggest a course of action rather than going to my bloody usless main dealer.
Also can anyone recommend a priority upgrade as I'm itching to modify the car in some shape or form

HLX Alarm

I also have a bravo HLX, mine also is now out of wawranty period and it also gives a warning tone occasionally after the alarm is set. Also the central locking somethimes opens after the diagnostic tone. So beware, I have left my car undone for hours, believing it was locked and alarmed.

Hlx Alarm

Simon, your alarm tones after you have set it because it is saying that one area of the car has not set properly. I would guess that it is either the bonnet push pin that has corroded or rusty. Give the contacts a good clean and see if that works. When you open the doors does the interior light work, test the passenger door too. If the light does not come on then your problem is a faulty pin. Failing all this then look in the handbook and reset your alrm. It cannot hurt.
