Hi everyone
At my wits end with daughters 2008 bravo 198 1.4. Bought it cheap £600, thought great deal at the time even if it had done 126000 miles. Within a month gearbox started rattling so £500 later fully reconditioned gearbox ready to fit. Whilst gearbox out noticed pressure plate had scores on it, due to thrust bearing that could hardly be moved. New clutch kit put in with gearbox, tried to bleed clutch and master cylinder packed up, another £100. Ran fine for week or so then clutch pedal would slowly sink to the floor if you rested foot on it, stopped about 2 inches from floor so you can still change gear. Next item to be replaced, slave cylinder on gearbox. Got it back from garage today, took it for a test drive and low and behold, clutch pedal 2 inches from the floor again. If you hook it up and push normally when changing gear it returns every time just when you push it in slowly it sticks. Garage now thinks it could be the pedal housing that may have an issue. It has never lost fluid so there is no leaks. Anyone else had this issue and found a cure. Between this issue, cracked catalytic convertor, timing belt, water pump, new airbox and heatshield due to previous idiot ripping off rattling heatshield and heat from manifold melting the bottom clean out of airbox and countless other things my £600 bravo is now well over £2000.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear that.
If you buy a car so cheap, it's normal to have many things to repair. Only advice is to buy a better (more expensive) piece next time.
