Bravo 1.2 starting and other problems

Every now and then my car refuses to start,moreoften when the engine is hot. But not always.Usually it starts well at first try, but if not, you have to wait several minutes,then try again and it starts normally.Sometimes, when I drive the engine hot, the heat meter bumbs up to red, stays there couple of seconds then goes back to normal.There is no water leaks and the fan seems to work.Also the integrated radio seems to have a life on its own.It goes on by itself without touching the button. What may cause these problems, are they common? Otherwise the car runs fine and im satisfied with it.

the temperature gauge is maybe due to an airlock in the water system whih may even mean ya head gaskets gone. ive got a 1.2 and i had those problems best to get it sorted soon coz in the end i needed a new cylider head which want cheap
