Brava whining Screeching sound during idle?????????//

Please help, when i start the car there is a high pitch sreeching sound during idle, what could this be and how do i fix it. Sounds like a slipping fan belt or something, could this be it?

yes, it could well be the fan belt.

yes fan belt and maybe the clutch too if the bearing is broken(i had similar problem when the bearing from the clutch was broken) does the sound increase when you press the clutch?

r registration fiat brava, 69 000 miles on clock. the noise does not change when you press thed clutch. Is it possible the belt is loose as i checked it and it had about half a centimentre of play in it.

The revs also in neutral seem to wander a bit, it feels like its only fireing on three cylinders. Im gonna try changing the plugs tomorro. Any ideas?
