Technical Brava engine

Hi
I have a 1.2 16 v Brava that needs an engine rebuild or new engine, can anyone tell me if the engine block on a 1.2 punto is the same as they look identical.

what happened to your old engine? cambelt snap?

no I just got the car and it sounds like a bag of spanners- probably big ends.

a 1.2 16v mk2 punto has the same block
not sure about the mk1, but i think they had the earlier version with a different block.
