brava electrical fault

hi ppl im new to this site i have a brava 1.4 (t reg) my problem is my electtrics have gone to pot . the window wipers dont work at all full beam and high beam dont work heated rear window dont work , window squirters dont work and heaters dont work
does anyone have a clue what this could be iv checked all fuses earth strap from battery looks ok . im lost can any one help could it be a relay if so wich one . thank u

Stalk - get a new one from a scrappy or take it off and use the manual in the repair section of the site to fix it

r both stalks all one peice. how would that effect the heaters and heated window switch

removing the air bag isnt as ad as it sounds aslong as you dont go all cowboy about it, you may need to have the dash light restet afterwards but thats it aslong as you go carefully and methodically

its almost certain its the stalks mate, they go in funny ways with some of the functions still working and others not, along with electrical issues that would appear to not be directly related to the stalks

for the sake of £20 from a scrappers and some of your time, say an hour in all honesty, id rather go with this approach than getting an auto spark out to diagnose the fault, or taking it to a garage, as to have the job done at a garage it will set you back over 100 easy, seen it many times before

ok thanks mate im gonna go scrappy in a mo i cant pay garages lol they rob ya blind. the gear box whent in the brava last december the garage wanted 750 to fix it and said it would take a week lol i brought a box from the scrappy for 100 and fitted in 8 hours lol i swear it was the coldest day ever aswell

yeah garages have a tendancy for ripping you a new one...

i do all the work myself now, especially gearboxes bax and clutch replacement, along with stripping the old one down to see why it broke in a day at most, get the latest dead box of in a hour and it was stripped half hour later
