General Brava 1.9td Gear Change Problem

HI, looking for some help on my 1.9td brava 100.
the car has been fine for 3 years then suddenly one morning the gears dont seem to wont to select unless you force them, 3rd gear the worse.
gear stick is extremely wobbly side to side.
any ideas?

Sounds liek selector is in need of adjustemt. Dont ask how, I dont know

there are 2 selector rods, and a reaction link, all connected to the gearbox, you need to check all 3 are connected securely at both ends. the reaction link is bolted on so i doubt that will be the problem, but the 2 sellector rods are simply pushed on and held in place with a ball joint style fixing that can pop off.

if sound slike the selector rod for the left/right movement has come off.

cheers, mine is the cable type.
found a ball joint popped of on right hand side of gear stick , looks like a plastic bit that sits in this is missing as it not a good fit.
any ideas where i can find a description/pics of this so i can find out what parts to buy.

thankyou hellcat, exactly what i needed part 18 is missing on mine i think it has disintergrated.
now i can go to local fiat dealer and show pic of what i need.
hopefully can buy just that bit and not the whole assembly.
